U Pass used to be a popular brand of fake urine for passing drug tests with, but its popularity has died off in the past couple of years. In this U Pass synthetic urine review I’m going to tell you why that is.
I’ve never used it myself because there are better alternatives, but back in the day it had a really good reputation for being not only complex enough in formula to pass a urinalysis, but also because it looked and frothed like the real thing as well.
On the surface, it seems great choice, but it seems to be failing a lot of people. Let’s delve in right now and find out what’s going on, as well as offering you some alternative fake urine brands for comparison.
What Is U Pass Synthetic Urine?
So U Pass 8.4 is the current formulation. That’s pretty good, because that means it’s had a lot of updates in formula over the years.
As I said, until a couple of years ago it had a pretty good reputation. But then people started getting U Pass synthetic urine LabCorp and Quest problems, and reporting them on Twitter and Reddit, places like that.
But what’s going on here? Well, the answer lays in a couple of things I’m now going to answer in this review.
Ingredients: Does U Pass Synthetic Urine Have Uric Acid In It?
On the surface, the ingredients of U Pass seen good enough. Does U Pass synthetic urine have uric acid? Yes it does, that’s a big tick.
In fact, it has the following characteristics:
- U Pass is balanced for pH
- It falls within the correct specific gravity range for human urine
- U Pass contains uric acid
- It also contains urea
- U Pass contains the correct range of creatinine (a waste product of creatine)
- It also looks, smells, and froths like real urine
So what’s going on here? Well, although it contains creatinine, uric acid, and your urea, and the other basics I’ve mentioned above, compare that to the market leader Sub Solution, which contains 14 chemicals found in urine. Now you can see the difference in complexity.
Modern urine drug testing has moved on dramatically, it’s fully digitalised, and with the way the internet works now, the big labs can simply look online to see what fake urine people are using, and work out ways to spot it.
How To Use U Pass Synthetic Urine
Instructions for using U Pass to submit a fake sample are pretty straightforward:
- You will need a microwave or a one hour for the heatpad to work on its own. If you’re using the microwave then microwave the bottle of premixed urine for about 15 seconds. Agitate it gently, and check the temperature strip. If nothing is registering, do it for another 15 seconds. Don’t overheat it, otherwise it will still not register on the temperature strip but will be too hot.
- An alternative if you’re not near microwave is to activate the air activated heatpad, strap it to the side with the included elastic band, and let it warm up that way. It will take up to one hour, but often far less.
- I can’t emphasise this enough, make sure the temperature is registering on the strip. Take a flask of hot (not boiling) water with you. Check the temperature just before you go in and submit your sample, and if it’s cooled (which is possible because a heatpad can fail) then you’ve got another heat source to warm it up with.
Then it’s just a case of tucking the U Pass sample into your underpants (making sure you are wearing baggy jogging bottoms) and going in and submitting your sample confidently.
Does U Pass Fake Urine Work?
So now you know how to use U Pass synthetic urine, we have to conclude this U Pass fake urine review by telling you if it works or not.
Well, the rumour is that it could contain biocide. This is an artificial preservative that is in a lot of brands of fake urine. It was rumoured a couple of years ago that the big testing companies had realised this and are now ruling out most samples just by testing for the presence of biocide, so using U Pass synthetic urine that LabCorp could be a problem.
However, it hasn’t been confirmed by anyone, so I’m guessing a bit here as to why it’s now not so reliable.
But look, generally, it’s not a complex formula. But it’s not the worst out there, is just pretty primitive for modern drug testing to fail to spot.
If you’re going for a basic pre-employment drug test and there’s nothing else available, then U Pass could work, but it’s not something you should rely on when there are better options available.
The Top 5 Choices For Fake Urine
In order of quality, these are the top brands of fake urine in 2019/2020:
So as you can see, U Pass is fifth on that list, which is not surprising when it costs just $30 and most places have a multi-by offer to try and get rid of the stuff now. Not something to rely on unless you are desperate.
Quick Fix and Monkey Whizz are only slightly better in formulation. They have got a better track record of passing drug tests, meaning there’s less anecdotal evidence online of them failing.
Sub Solution is incredible. It contains 14 chemicals found in urine, especially balance, and also looks, smells, and froths like the real thing. But just as importantly, it uses heat activator powder rather than a heatpad.
Look, the biggest reason why people fail urine sample drug test is not the formulation of the urine it submitting it outside that magical temperature range of between 90°F and 100°F.
Sub Solution takes all that worry away by using heat activator powder. You simply tap some in before you enter the building, agitate it, and it will raise the temperature. Just keep tapping a little in and agitate it until you get to as close to 100°F as possible without going over.
Quick Luck is kind of the big brother of Sub Solution. Recently released, it’s 20 bucks more at $100. But it’s premixed rather than a powder, it’s slightly more complex in formula, and you get both heat activator powder plus a pair of heat pads.
So, the conclusion of this U Pass synthetic urine review is that it’s right down the list. If you can pick it up in smoke shops in desperation, or you can’t find anything else in stock online, then go for it, but my advice is to get Quick Luck or Sub Solution in stock right now so that you are never caught out when facing a urine sample drug test.
